Korean peace talks stalled for 2 yrs [1952] because the PRC demanded that all Chinese prisoners be returned home, when over 14,000 had begged not to be sent back … The Chinese finally gave in on this issue, and the 14,000 prisoners were repa- triated elsewhere—mainly to Taiwan.
